Lizzy lends a helping hand!
We're delighted to welcome volunteer Lizzy McManus to Pathways as our Recovery Services Administrator. Lizzy is an aspiring Counseling Psychologist with a particular interest in addiction and recovery services. She has a BSC in Psychology from the University of Newcastle in England and is joining the Pathways team in order to get a feel for both the business and clinical sides of a recovery center. She is extremely enthusiastic and excited to be joining us for the next year, after which she hopes to return to the UK to begin a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. She aims to come home to Bermuda after receiving her qualification with a view to working in the primary field of substance abuse recovery.

Pathways receives $5,000 donation!
We are honoured and delighted to be one of the recipients of a generous $5,000 donation by Marsh and Guy Carpenter!
Marsh and Guy Carpenter donated $5,000 each to Pathways Bermuda, St. John Ambulance and Sunshine League for their community efforts. “Giving back to the community is a high priority for Marsh and Guy Carpenter and we are proud to donate to these three valuable organisations,” said David Ezekiel, Country Corporate Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Bermuda and Chairman of Marsh’s Bermuda Charity Committee.
“On behalf of the companies, I thank Pathways, St. John Ambulance and the Sunshine League for their tireless efforts to keep our community safe, healthy and productive.”
“Since our inception in 2007, 81 people have received overseas treatment and more than 3,000 people have been served through our services and programmes,” said Gita Blakeney-Saltus, Executive Director of Pathways Bermuda.
“Unfortunately, many people cannot afford treatment and as a result, philanthropic funding is vital to ensure that individuals receive the help that they and their families desperately need.
“On behalf of Pathways and the families we serve, I thank Marsh and Guy Carpenter for their sustained support of our organisation and for helping people overcome addiction and improve their lives.”
